OUR DESIGN TEAM

We have assembled a staff of design professionals, experienced in a wide range of projects, to provide the most effective combination of technical and creative expertise. This allows us the flexibility to undertake any assignment and efficiently concentrate our talents and skills.

The total concept approach at One Design Center, Inc., is based on a team effort. For a given project, staff members are assigned responsibilities that correspond with their individual experience and talents. Every stage of the project is coordinated and supervised by a senior designer, and the total effort is directed by one of the firm's principals.

MANAGEMENT

Linda R. Higgins, IIDA,
President and Co-founder of One Design Center, Inc.,

Linda combines administrative skills with extensive experience in design direction and management for all types of commercial projects.

Linda graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Home Economics. She is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, and is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association. She is also a member of the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Greensboro Development Corporation, Construction Professionals Network of North Carolina, Crescent Rotary Club and serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Environmental Sciences Foundation at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

Cynthia F. Folds, IIDA
Executive Vice President and Co-founder

Cyndi Folds combines leadership abilities with creative expertise to direct the design process, and outstanding management skills to keep the design team founded and projects on track.

Cyndi graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Home Economics. She is a Certified Contract Interior Designer, a designation awarded by the Governing Board for Contract Interior Design Standards, and a professional member of the International Interior Design Association, the Greater Greensboro Builders Association, Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Environmental Sciences Foundation at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

Anne S. Bowers, IIDA, ASID
Vice President

Anne came to One Design Center in 1981 with extensive product knowledge and a wide range of experience. Her knowledge of sources and trends is invaluable to the firm for design coordination and selection of furnishings and finishes.

Anne has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Home Economics from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification and is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association and American Society of Interior Designers. Anne has been an active member of the Greater Greensboro Builders Association for many years and serves on the Advisory Board to the Interior Architecture Department at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Anne also serves as chairman of the Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission.

Roger Ward, ASID
Project Manager

Roger joined the One Design Center team in 1986, bringing an outstanding knowledge base for materials, sources, custom millwork design and construction. Prior to his experience with One Design Center, Inc., he worked in various phases of design for health care, banking and educational facilities.

Roger graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. He is certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification and is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
